KBC Senior Risk Advisor - Solvency II Functieomschrijving What will your responsibilities be? You will be a member of the newly formed, dedicated, multi-disciplinary Solvency II team set up within KBC Group Risk which is responsible for the end-to-end group Solvency II process. You will support the team in the following tasks: Calculation, analysis and reporting of the Group Solvency II ratio, within KBC and to external parties (e.g. National Bank of Belgium) Support the group CRO in the sign-off of the Group figures Support of the Solvency II process for all insurance companies within KBC group, incl. a.o. calculation of the Local Solvency II ratio Reporting of the Group Quantitative reporting templates (QRTs) to the regulator Point of contact for all internal and external questions (local entities, regulator, audit, …) Supporting Stress tests for the insurance group Continuous improvement of the Solvency II process Understand regulatory changes and implement these within the process ... What do we expect from you? At Group Risk, we are looking for an experienced risk advisor, preferably with Solvency 2 knowledge, to support and help shape our new Solvency II team. As one of the experienced advisors within the team, you will focus on the analysis and the reporting of the Group Solvency II figures. Your analysis will also support the group CRO in the sign-off of the group figures. In addition, you will be the point of contact for internal and external questions. You are involved both in the business-as-usual activities as well as projects to implement new regulation or new risk measures for Insurance related risk measurement. Furthermore, you support ad-hoc internal as well as regulatory stress testing exercises. The team works in an international context, meaning that you will be working closely together with Finance, Risk, Business departments from different countries on a day-to-day basis. Location Brussels, with possibility to work 2 days/week locally or from home. You have the possibility to work part-time from our KBC Insurance offices in Leuven. Profiel What are your key strengths? Profile You are a team player, you are diplomatic and are able to reconcile differences in opinion. Seeing that you work in an international context, strong written and oral communication skills in English are required. You are able to manage and present information in a well-ordered and structured way. You set realistic and ambitious goals and work perseverant to obtain the expected results. You have strong analytical skills allowing you to formulate relevant messages. At least 3 to 5 years experience as an analyst or advisor in a Finance or Risk department or other specialized reporting expertise (e.g. wrt Insurance business) is required. Experience in Solvency 2 or any other risk related field is an asset. Education Master degree, preferably in (Commercial) Engineering or Economics or equivalent. Training you will receive depends on prior experience and profile. However, you will receive both general risk management training, as well as specific training on Solvency II.
