For our European Retail competence center based in Brussels ( Strombeek-Bever ) , we are currently seeking a qualified Project Manager. Project Manager - Retail Systems Objectives: A s Project Manager Retail Systems I T you are responsible for delivering I T projects using standard processes and methods.  This includes managing through all phases of a project’s lifecycle. You will be involved in all I T aspects of projects and will manage the project resources (Human Resources, Budget, Timeline). This includes activities such as risk management and stakeholder expectation management. You will stay up to date with the project methodology and tools used at Staples and ensure proper usage of the tools and techniques through the project. Besides resp onsibility over a team t his position will be responsible for managing multiple small or medium sized projects.  The projects may impact multiple businesses and resources. The Project Manager reports to the EU Retail IT M anager . Responsibilities: · Lifecycle management of Retail Projects (discovery, define, design, develop, test, go-live) · Business process analysis · Collection of Business requirements · Definition of functional specifications · Writing of projects scope & deliverables in accordance to our internal methodology · Supervising system development · Quality Assurance · Deployment of Hardware and Software Qualifications/Requirements: · Experience with world class Project Management methodologies like PMI, Prince2 · Experience as a project manager for applications and infrastructure. · Experience as System analyst as well as Business analyst. · Experience with Retail Systems · Ability to manage the software delivery process including; defining scope, assessing risk, managing issues and Cost. · Team player, capable of managing teams up to 8 resources is an asset · PCI & SOX Compliance  knowledge · Experience utilizing effective communication skills (written & verbal) to Sr. manager or executive levels is a plus. · Good understanding of business processes, preferably in a Retail, Delivery o r Contract environment · Pragmatic approach · English is the corporate language; other European language is an asset · Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize between the needs of different projects. · Good time-management skills (ability to progress different topics concurrently) · Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel · Willingness to travel within Europe
